Eiry decided on our WeedTex Garden Membrane 50gsm to cover the base of his raised bed planters. Using a weed fabric such as this one from WeedTex, will help prepare the ground and allow more growth room for plants, shrubs and vegetables by reducing unwanted weeds.   Raised beds are great, as the soil in them warms and dries out earlier in the spring than regular ground garden beds, so you can often plant sooner in springtime. Used the fabric under the bark on the pathways. Should make things much easier to keep under control - as previously from May to September I found it very hard to keep up with the weeding and tidying up.
